In one sentence
Clap Studio is a Mac app that listens to your samples and lets you find sounds by ear: similar sounds, a map of your library, and searching by words or by humming.
In a paragraph
Clap Studio organises the samples a musician already has, without moving or changing them. It listens to every sound on the Mac, sorts it into categories and moods, and lays the library out as a map of similar sounds. Find a snare by humming it, ask for “darker, no reverb”, build a kit around a kick and try it in the drum machine, shape sounds without touching the files, and send banks to the ALM Squid Salmple. Field recordings are read moment by moment, with the species heard in them (powered by BirdNET; the model’s guesses, with how sure it was) and where they were made. No account, no cloud and no tracking.
